KLIK! Amsterdam Animation Festival

October 17 – 22, 2017
Amsterdam, Netherlands

Over the years, the KLIK! Amsterdam Animation Festival has gone from strength to strength and after stints at various locations across town, its current home is the EYE Filmmuseum where it delights with six days of top-notch animated films, masterclasses, themed programmes, special guests and of course, parties!

Expect something for everyone: Whether you’re an animation fanboy/girl, animation professional, student, or designer. Brace yourself for a dazzling showcase of the world’s best animated shorts and features, matched with fine presentations, workshops and zany parties. Immerse yourself in absolute animation frenzy and take part in this warm celebration of all that is animation. On the occasion of the anniversary, we will also take a retrospective look at our favorite animations from the past ten years.

With this year’s themed program ‘Never Grow Up’ we put the spotlight on animations that question common conceptions of age and life stages. What does it mean to be grown up? What if you refuse to act your age? Expect feature films, presentations, short film compilations and more.

Animated Amsterdam

Animation has become an integral part of cinema, as stunning animated films blow our minds with imagination and almost real-life imagery and beauty. New artists are continually pushing the boundaries of animation whether it’s through perfect 3D computer rendering, the roughest sketch work or via meticulously shaped claymation.
