Popaganda is a vibrant music experience in Stockholm, Sweden. Fully loaded with an eclectic lineup of acts spanning over several genres, there’s music for everyone to enjoy. Come with open ears and get ready to take in a flow of energetic performances accompanied by rabid fans, popping lights and outstanding music. Artists like Arcade Fire, Robyn, Belle and Sebastian, Ellie Goulding, Veronica Maggio, Håkan Hellström, The xx, Lily Allen and Hot Chip have been on the festival stages over the years.

 

Since its inception, Popaganda festival organized by the Association Popaganda. The association currently consists of nearly thirty people who all work as volunteers with the festival and club. Association decide together what bands are going to play. It makes Popaganda to Sweden’s most democratic festival. Starting in 2006, this festival annually curates a lineup of alternative national and international acts. Popaganda attracts a hip crowd and has made a name for itself for its relaxed, open atmosphere and party vibe.

 

Taking place on the grounds of the Eriksdalsbadet pool centre in southern Stockholm, Popaganda uses its unique setting to its advantage, offering an array of shows in the water.

 

 

Eriksdal

Eriksdal is a municipal swimming baths and sports center at Årstaviken in Stockholm. The outdoor bath was built in 1962 to sim-PM and then have a large number of swimming competitions took place on Eriksdal. Those who grew up in Stockholm mind Eriksdal as their oasis in the summer heat, the bath it happened when the beach was too far. Since 1999 Eriksdal Stockholm’s largest and most modern indoor pools.

 

Before the outdoor bath was built, there was a water treatment plant at the site, but long before this was Eriksdal Theater there. Lyngby Theater was short lived when a bomb struck and blew up the theater to rubble. This happened during World War II on February 22, 1944.
